Choose an art to challenge and express your current skills or develop new ones. Our partnership with the 92Y and ErgoMedia has raised our arts program to new heights through a developed curriculum and professional instructors. To compliment the creative arts program, our drama program offers campers an excellent opportunity to participate in a high-level theater experience as part of their summer.
Campers can learn the art of jewelry making, ceramics, painting and drawing, film-making, photography, arts and crafts, woodshop, fashion design, cartooning, candle-making, and beading. They can create art projects of the highest caliber including using a Raku firing kiln and I-Mac computers. Our dramatic arts program gives campers the opportunity to perform on stage, or learn the offstage crafts of set design, costuming, stage management, lighting and sound engineering.
In addition to the myriad arts programs offered through Nah-Jee-Wah and Cedar Lake Camps, RLC provides drama and dance specialists specifically for our campers who feel more comfortable performing in an intimate environment. All campers are welcome to audition for the NJW and CLC plays, though RLC proudly performs musical productions directed by our Round Lake Drama Specialist. Additionally, based on popular demand, a RLC specialist facilitates arts and crafts programming solely for RLC campers. Examples of the most popular requests are beading and friendship bracelet making.
